West Ham defender Doneil Henry has left the club to rejoin Blackburn Rovers on a short-term loan deal.
The Canadian international only joined the Hammers back in January, but is yet to feature in the Premier League, and has only made one appearance for the club at the start of the season during our underwhelming Europa League qualification campaign.
The 22-year-old joined Blackburn back in March last season on a one-month loan deal and caught the eye during his three appearances, but a hamstring injury cut his time short.
“It is great to be back here again, it is a great club.” Henry told Blackburn’s official site, cites the Lancashire Telegraph.
“The last time I was here I felt really welcomed, I got tossed in right away and felt it was made really easy because of how great the guys were here.
“So I’m just looking to train hard and play my part and give all I have for the team.”
Able to play at both centre-back and right-back, Doneil Henry can provide some excellent versatility for Rovers.
“I’m delighted to be able to bring Doneil back. I know that he did very well last time he was here, prior to his injury.” said new manager Paul Lambert.
“We felt that it was important to add an extra body to the defensive department and Doneil was the obvious choice.”
