West Ham’s vice-chairman Karren Brady says that when the Hammers move into the Olympic Stadium, they will have “one of the greatest arenas in world football”.
The Hammers move into their new stadium for the start of next season and are getting to play there for a very small rental cost with most of the cost paid for by the London Legacy Development Corporation.
West Ham will leave Upton Park at the end of this campaign, and Brady said that the move to the Olympic Stadium will provide the Hammers with numerous benefits, and she said that the club will be doing all they can to ensure that they have an on-field team that can compete at the highest levels.

The Olympic Stadium offers enormous commercial and brand opportunities and we have a strategy in place to deliver sell-out crowds and enter the stadium with a team that are befitting of such an amazing, iconic venue.
As plans take shape it becomes even more apparent that our new home will be one of the greatest arenas in world football and a platform to transform the future of our great club.
Brady also suggested that the decision to sack Sam Allardyce and replace him with Slaven Bilic was made as the board wanted to ensure that West Ham moved into the new stadium as a Premier League club.
Retention of our Premier League status in the 2015-16 season [was] an absolute necessity for the future well-being of the club.
