Argentinian loanee Manuel Lanzini could be set for a permanent move to the Boleyn Ground as, according the The Express, West Ham are keen to trigger the £5.5m buy-out clause in his contract.
Lanzini joined the Hammers from Al Jazira, prior to the start of the league campaign, and his ten appearances to date have sparked further interest in the 22-year-old.
So far this season, the creative midfielder has racked up three goals and an assist, becoming an instrumental component of Slaven Bilic’s side.

Despite only being 22, Lanzini is not short of experience, having broken into the River Plate first team as a 17-year-old. He also saw regular football while on loan at Brazilian side Fluminense before making the move to the UAE last year.
The Argentine adhered himself to fans from the start, with his first goal for West Ham coming just a couple of minutes into the Hammers’ 3-0 dismantling of Liverpool at Anfield.
Off the back of his displays so far this year, it is reported that Bilic is keen on securing Lanzini long-term, by triggering the buy-out clause set by Al Jazira.
West Ham get first option on the former Argentina U20 international and, if Lanzini’s form continues, the £5.5m fee could be a real bargain.
