West Ham face stiff competition from Serie A for fullback

Talksport are reporting that West Ham will make a January attempt to land Inter Milan full-back Danilo D’Ambrosio.

The Hammers were linked with the defender in the summer, however, no solid move ever came of it.

The reports say that West Ham will try again in the transfer window, however Fiorentina may beat them to D’Ambrosio’s signature. It is believed Fiorentina want to take him on a season-long loan deal, with an option to make the agreement permanent at the end. He still has nearly three years remaining on his contract with Inter, which could inflate his price.

D’Ambrosio is yet to feature for Inter Milan this season, and wants to move away from the Italian side in search of football.

He joined the club from Torino in 2014, and has made a total of 43 appearances for the club, getting himself on the scoresheet three times, and assisting an equal number of goals
