West Ham are believed to be stepping up their interest in prolific non-League striker Dumebi Dumaka, according to the Daily Mail .
The 21-year-old is currently playing for Grays Athletic of the Isthmian Premier League – the seventh tier of English football.
Dumaka has scored 12 goals in seven games so far this season, and the local scouts of several Premier League outfits, including West Ham, have been alerted of his progress.
The striker has spent the last few weeks off the pitch nursing an injury, but it’s believed that West Ham want to bring the player to their training complex at Chadwell Heath to spend some time working with the first-team squad ahead of a future move.
West Ham are no strangers to delving into the lower reaches of the football table in search of some young talent.

In January 2011, the Hammers signed young striker Paul McCallum from Dulwich Hamlet, another Isthmian Premier League side, after he impressed in the FA Youth Cup, scoring 15 goals in just seven games. Having not made an appearance in four years at the club, he left earlier this year and is now at Leyton Orient.

That summer, the club also signed midfielder Pelly Ruddock from Boreham Wood. He also failed to make an appearance for the club in three years, and now plays for Luton Town after impressing on loan.

In 2013 West Ham also signed attacker Danny Whitehead from non-League side Stockport County. The player made just one appearance for the first-team in the dismal 5-0 FA Cup loss to Nottingham Forest. He was subsequently released and is now plying his trade for Macclesfield Town.
