West Ham and Southampton are reportedly keeping tabs on the progress of Palermo midfielder Oscar Hiljemark this season.
According to Italian source Calcio Mercato, both the Premier League clubs have been alerted by the performances of the Swedish international.
Through six games in his debut season in Serie A after his free transfer move from PSV Eindhoven in the summer, he has three goals and has been a standout performer.

The 23-year-old has 15 caps for his country, and could be a strong rotational option in an already highly competitive midfield for West Ham, which already features four or five players vying for two or three spots when everyone’s fit.
However, the Hammers have struggled with injuries at the position this season, with Pedro Obiang, Cheikhou Kouyate and ReeceOxford all having missed periods of time in the early stages of the season with niggling injuries, not to mention the long-term lay-off which Alex Song is returning from, which would happen in the next 4-6 weeks.
