West Ham refusing to do business with Tottenham

West Ham have rejected a bid of around £15million from Tottenham for midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate, according to the Mail.

The powerful midfielder has been in fine form for the Hammers this season and his performances have caught the eye of Spurs, who are in desperate need of firepower.

But the Lilywhites have been put under no illusions by West Ham who won’t sell the Senegalese star under any circumstances.

The 25-year-old, whose versatility and goal threat have ignited Spurs’ interest has been arguably West Ham’s best player this season, with two goals in his first four league appearances, including one against Arsenal on the opening day of the season.

It remains to be seen if Tottenham return with another bid, as panic sets in with the 6pm deadline fast approaching.

In terms of Tottenham players arriving at West Ham, Emmanuel Adebayor’s season-long-loan move to Upton Park looks set to be completed.

Tottenham are believed to be subsidising Adebayor’s wages as a way of guaranteeing his exit, while Slaven Bilic is also in the market for Hull City’s Nikita Jelavic.

Would you sell Kouyate? If so, for how much?

matchday.
