West Ham have made a late move to sign Bordeaux striker Diego Rolan before the transfer deadline.
The Hammers are desperate to add to their striking options this summer, and thought they could get a late swoop for the 22-year-old over the line before tomorrow’s deadline.
However, according to French source Sud Ouest , Bordeaux have tied Rolan down to a new three-year contract.
Rolan scored 15 goals in 36 Ligue 1 appearances for Bordeaux last season, and was also heavily linked with a move to Newcastle, but it appears he will be remaining in France.

Sud Ouest journalist Frederic Laharie has also confirmed West Ham made a bid for the player, but it was “too low and/or too late” to persuade Bordeaux to sell their star striker.
With Rolan no-go, West Ham have turned their attentions to Hull City striker Nikica Jelavic, who is set to undergo a medical ahead of a move in the region of £2-3m.
