Alex Song passes West Ham medical, expected to rejoin on loan

Alex Song has passed a medical at West Ham, and the loan move could be complete in the coming hours.

SPORT.ES have reported that the Cameroon midfielder, who has two years left on his contract at Barcelona, completed a medical at West Ham this morning. Although the 27-year old has a considerable amount of time left on his contract, he appears to not be a part of Luis Enrique’s plans at Barcelona.

Due to this he is looking for a move away from Camp Nou, and his desired destination would be the Premier League where he feels comfortable, following successful spells with Arsenal and West Ham.

Originally West Ham hoped to sign Song on a permanent deal, but negotiations were unsuccessful so the Hammers opted for a loan move which is being negotiated currently.

Alex Song has completed his medical and the loan deal could be complete in the coming hours. Tottenham have also showed an interest in the player, but it appears to be too late, with the West Ham deal nearing completion.
