West Ham are poised to complete the season-long loan signing of Juventus and Italy striker Simone Zaza.
The Hammers, keen to bring in reinforcements in that area of the pitch, identified Zaza in the last few weeks as a potential target.
It was reported earlier today that West Ham were close to an agreement, but it’s believed that it’s now been reached.
Zaza’s agent flew to London to hold talks with the Hammers about a possible move, and he is satisfied with the agreement.
According to reputable Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio , everything is agreed for the deal to go ahead, we are just waiting on the player’s approval, which is expected on Tuesday.
Zaza signed for Juventus earlier this summer from Sassuolo for a reported fee of €15m, but has since seen Mario Mandzukic and Paolo Dybala join the club, making him the fourth choice option.
Juventus are willing to send the striker out on loan this summer, with the Hammers having agreed a €3m loan fee to secure his signature, which they hope to be made official before Saturday’s game at Liverpool.
West Ham are currently without a fit first-team striker having sold Modibo Maiga to Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr earlier this evening, and Diafra Sakho picking up a thigh injury in the loss to Bournemouth.
