West Ham set to offload striker before the end of the window

West Ham are willing to let young striker Elliot Lee leave the club this summer on loan for some regular first-team football.

HITC understand from sources close to the club that Slaven Bilic is willing to let the young English man find some regular game-time elsewhere this season as first-team opportunities at Upton Park are hard to come by.

The 20-year-old spent part of last season on loan at League Two side Luton and impressed in just a handful of games, scoring three goals in 11 appearances for the club.

After making four appearances in four seasons for West Ham, all coming from the bench as well, Lee was handed his first start in the Europa League first qualifying round second-leg away at Andorran side FC Lusitans, where he scored early the first half for his first-ever West Ham goal.

A number of clubs are said to have made enquiries into signing the youngster, who needs some first-team action to really develop his game.

West Ham need a more reliable option for the upcoming season and are hopeful of completing a deal to sign Javier Hernandez from Manchester United.
