West hams search for a midfielder could prove to be harder than first thought as Alen Halilovic is set to move from Barcelona to Hamburg on a season-long loan, say Spanish source Sport.
The young Croatian is out of favour at Barcelona as Luis Enrique told us some time ago that Alen’s services would not be needed this season. Barcelona originally wanted to sell Alen for 10 million euros, however, no one was prepared to pay this amount of money for a player that has not yet proved himself.
Barcelona have now turned to the option of loaning him out.West ham had earlier showed a lot of interest in Alen as Slaven Bilic was looking to team up with a fellow Croat however Alen looks set to accept the offer from Hamburg.

Alen wants to get some good experience at a good club in a competitive league to prove to Barcelona’s staff that he deserves a place in first-team football. West hams search for a central midfielder is still ongoing.
Previously rumours have been circulating that Alex Song is no longer an option for West Ham. Also recently heavily linked with Joey Barton, Jack Sullivan has yesterday confirmed through twitter that we will not be signing the Englishman.
