West Ham Looking At Koulibaly

West Ham Looking At Koulibaly

West Ham look all set to continue their raid of Serie A this summer, with Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly supposedly on Slaven Bilic’s radar, according to TMW.

Koulibaly only arrived at Napoli last summer but, following the recent arrival of Vlad Chiriches from Tottenham, his future has been thrown into doubt. The 24-year-old has attracted attention from a number of clubs, including Premier League rivals Everton, throughout the past twelve months so Koulibaly has his options open ahead of the new season.

Much-like Cheikhou Kouyate, the Frenchman’s natural position is centre-half, but he can also be deployed in defensive midfield – an attractive proposition to West Ham who require plenty of depth to cope with the Europa League’s deadly Thursday-Sunday combination.

Should West Ham land Koulibaly, he will be the third player to arrive at Upton Park from Italy this summer – succeeding the arrivals of Angelo Ogbonna from Juventus and Pedro Obiang from Sampdoria.

Meanwhile, West Ham are close to unveiling a new striker signing – Raúl Jiménez on loan from Atletico Madrid.

Do people reckon Kalidou Koulibaly would be a good signing? Let us know. Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
