West Ham Want Fer

West Ham have made an enquiry to signing QPR midfielder Leroy Fer this summer.

Sports Mole, who quote Sky Sports, say that West Ham are pursuing a deal for the Dutch international midfielder, who made 31 appearances for Rangers last season which saw them relegated to the Championship.

Sky Sports, who quote the Guardian, say that the 25-year-old is also being looked at by Sunderland on a season-long loan deal for another crack at the Premier League.

West Ham are still trying to sign Alex Song from Barcelona this summer to add to their midfield depth, but are waiting the green light from the La Liga side to complete the deal having already agreed terms to a contract with the Cameroonian.

Esteban Cambiasso has also been mentioned as a possible target for the Hammers, but that deal has reached a dead end.

While Alex Song remains a Barcelona player, and Pedro Obiang injured for the time behind, a deal to sign Leroy Fer would be very timely indeed.
