Alex Song Moving On From West Ham, Turkey Move Possible

Futbol Arena are reporting that Alex Song, who spent last season on loan with the Hammers, is wanted by Galatasaray.

The former Arsenal midfielder has emerged as a potential replacement for Felipe Melo who looks set to leave Istanbul to join Inter Milan.

Song’s agent, Ayhan Yeşilbaş has reportedly offered Song to Hamza Hamzaoğlu’s side in an attempt to find a club for his client as soon as possible.

However the Turkish giants aren’t the only club reportedly in for the 27-year-old, with the Mirror claiming that Southampton are also monitoring his situation.

Song proved many doubters wrong during his time with West Ham last season, notching up 28 appearances and becoming somewhat of an imperative cog in Sam Allardyce’s side.

Despite him moving to Barcelona from Arsenal for a handsome £15 million back in 2012, the Cameroon international failed to make any sort of impact at the Camp Nou as he was resigned to playing second-fiddle behind Sergio Busquets in the middle of the park, thus limiting him to 39 league appearances in Spain.
