West Ham have registered their squad for the upcoming UEFA Europa League third qualifying round fixtures against FC Astra Giurgiu of Romania. The first leg will be played at Upton Park on Thursday, 7:30PM kick-off, with the second leg to played a week later in Romania.
Sourced from UEFA, West Ham have made several changes to their Europa League squad, including the additions of summer signings Carl Jenkinson and Angelo Ogbonna to reinforce the defence.
To accommodate for their additions, both Winston Reid and Pedro Obiang have been dropped from the squad for the time-being. Obiang certainly has an injury, as confirmed on twitter by Julian Dicks earlier this month. One would imagine the same would be the case for Reid as you’d expect him to be starting if fit.
