Bid Rejected For Praet

West Ham have had a bid rejected for RSC Anderlecht midfielder Dennis Praet, according to Belgian news outlet HLN.

Praet has grabbed attention from a number of clubs across Europe, including Arsenal, Barcelona and Zenit St. Petersburg, after emerging as one of Belgium’s most promising young stars.

The 21-year-old has already secured his first cap for his country, as well as winning six trophies and two individual accolades in his short career.

West Ham’s opening offer has fallen short of Anderlecht’s valuation, with HLN reporting anything less than €15million will be rejected.

The Hammers’ position could be strengthened after they were in negotiations with Anderlecht only last summer, when they completed the signing of Senegal international Cheikhou Kouyate.

The Belgian outfit are no longer in need to cash-in on their most valuable assets, following the exits of Aleksandar Mitrovic and Chancel Mbemba (imminently) to Newcastle for £21million.

Meanwhile, West Ham have been linked with a move for Barcelona youngster Alen Halilovic.

If you had the choice, who would you rather West Ham sign – Praet or Halilovic? Leave your response in the comments section below.
