Galatasaray are rivalling West Ham for the loan signing of Roma winger Gervinho, according to Football Italia.
The former Arsenal man has been heavily linked with a move way from the Italian capital this summer as Rudi Garcia looks to shake up his attacking options ahead of the new season.
Gervinho was reportedly set for a move to Al Jazira, but some strangely excessive demands reportedly caused the move to collapse, including wanting a private beach and several helicopters, claims he denies.
“I have no idea where that information comes from, but I have never demanded such things.
“When I sign a contract I don’t care about those things: everything that has been said about me is false.”
Both sides want to take Gervinho on loan this summer, but would have to pay his full €3m-a-year wages for the season.
West Ham have already reportedly made an offer to take the Ivorian on loan, but will now need to reconsider the structure of their offer following Galatasaray’s interest.
