Marcelo Bielsa is said to be still interested in the managerial role at the Boleyn Ground. In the latest turn of events at Upton Park, Bielsa is still in the running for the West Ham United job.
The Mirror reports that the Argentine coach has not yet put pen to paper with current side Marseille and wants to become West Ham manager, and could be snapped up by the East London club in due course.
There were reports earlier this month claiming that Bielsa would quit Marseille after a dispute about transfers.
Despite former Besiktas man Slaven Bilic remaining as the hot favourite, the Hammers are running out of options to replace Sam Allardyce with in the dugout.
Unai Emery has confirmed he is remaining at Sevilla, Rafael Benitez has taken over the realm at Real Madrid, and David Moyes wants to remain at Real Sociedad.
Marseille have indeed offered the 59-year-old a further contract extension, but he is rather hesitant to accept it as he wants to see if the Irons are still interested in his services.
