Next Boss Given £25m Transfer Budget

West Ham United will be providing the newly appointed manager £25mil transfer budget for the upcoming 2015/2016 season.

With players such as Carlton Cole, Guy Demel, Nene and Jussi Jaaskelainen all out of contract in the summer, the board have more financial resources on offer for the new manager to take into his first season at Upton Park. Whichever manager the board decide to take on, its rumoured that the successor to Sam Allardyce will also receive a £3mil-a-year wage packet.

With the Hammers recent entry into the Europa League 1st round qualifier, Sullivan and Gold will have to work fast to tempt the right man for the job, as the teams season will now begin on

Thursday 2nd July. The co-chairmen have been quoted, via their statement following Allardyce’s departure, stating; “Our target is to recruit a manager that will build a team capable of saying a fitting farewell to the Boleyn Ground next year and do justice to the outstanding surrounds we will call home from August 2016.”

Many names have been thrown around amongst the fans and media alike, but with that kind of budget and wage packet, its going to hard for any manager to turn down.

A high profile manager in the mould of a Marcelo Bielsa or Unai Emery would like to bring in high-profile, high-calibre players into the side to ready us for our Europa League campaign. The £25m, plus whatever they can generate through player sales, would go a long way into building a stronger squad for what looks like a long, arduous season.

matchday.
