West Ham are hoping to make a deal with Ligue 2 side Valenciennes for the signing of highly-rated winger Opa Nguette, so say the Daily Star.
West Ham’s interest in Nguette was first reported a couple of days ago by FootMercato, as they look to replace some of the attacking options they’ve let go of this month.
The 20-year-old has scored four goals in 17 for the Ligue 2 side, and has also featured for France at youth level.
There has been an emphasis in scouting the French leagues this season, following the success of Diafra Sakho, having signed for what looks like a bargain price of £4.5m from FC Metz in the summer.
