West Ham Rule Out Solly March Free Transfer After Club Decision

West Ham United have reportedly ruled out a move for free agent Solly March despite rating the former Brighton & Hove Albion winger.

March has been available since leaving Brighton during the summer and had recently been suggested as a possible option to provide additional cover for Jarrod Bowen.

However, West Ham are not expected to pursue the 31-year-old.

West Ham Make Solly March Decision

According to Hammers News, a senior West Ham source said the club admire March but have ruled out signing him because of concerns surrounding his injury history.

The report follows recent speculation that the Hammers could move for March outside the transfer window because he is currently unattached.

Brighton confirmed March’s departure this summer after a long spell in which he made 300 appearances for the Seagulls.

He had also endured an extended injury absence before returning during the latter stages of last season.

West Ham Keep Faith With Current Options

West Ham therefore appear set to continue with their existing attacking options rather than adding March.

Bowen remains Nuno Espírito Santo’s first-choice option on the right and has already recorded four goals and three assists in the Championship this season.

For now, though, the club are reportedly not planning to add March despite his availability on a free transfer.
