Pablo Felipe confirms West Ham intent despite Trabzonspor transfer interest

Pablo Felipe has offered a strong indication that he intends to remain at West Ham United despite emerging as a late transfer option for Trabzonspor.

The English transfer window has closed, but clubs in Turkey can still complete deals on Friday.

The Times reports that Trabzonspor have considered Pablo as an alternative to Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison.

Turkish outlet HT Spor has also been credited with reporting that both Brazilian forwards were on Trabzonspor’s list as the club searched for another attacking addition.

However, Pablo’s own words point firmly towards West Ham.

Pablo makes West Ham intentions clear

The 22-year-old returned to Nuno Espírito Santo’s starting XI for Tuesday’s 4-2 Championship victory over Wolves.

West Ham have since published an interview with Pablo in which the forward made clear that he feels ready to contribute to the promotion push.

Pablo said he wants to remain fit so he can continue helping West Ham “during the rest of the season”.

That is significant given the timing of the Trabzonspor interest.

The Brazilian has not always been guaranteed a starting position since arriving from Gil Vicente in January, but Nuno brought him back into the side for West Ham’s first Championship victory of the campaign.

He also features in our predicted West Ham XI against Derby after playing alongside Joël Piroe against Wolves.
