Aaron Wan-Bissaka now likely to leave West Ham as two clubs circle

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is now reportedly likely to leave West Ham United, with Everton and Aston Villa emerging as the two leading Premier League destinations for the defender.

The latest Aaron Wan-Bissaka West Ham transfer update comes as Nuno Espírito Santo continues reshaping his squad following relegation.

Wan-Bissaka’s future has been uncertain throughout the summer, but the picture around the 28-year-old is becoming clearer. ReadWestHam reported last week that West Ham were already assessing three potential replacements, with Hampus Skoglund, Kaine Kesler-Hayden and Thérence Koudou all on the club’s radar.

A move away from the London Stadium now appears increasingly possible.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka West Ham transfer exit increasingly likely

ExWHUEmployee reports via The West Ham Way that Wan-Bissaka is currently likely to join either Everton or Aston Villa, while clubs from outside England are also showing interest.

Everton’s interest is not new, but fresh reports on Wednesday morning also list Wan-Bissaka among the right-backs being considered by David Moyes alongside Celtic’s Alistair Johnston and Genoa defender Brooke Norton-Cuffy.

Aston Villa would provide another Premier League option should Unai Emery’s side formalise their interest.

West Ham are already preparing for the possibility of losing Wan-Bissaka. Their search for another right-back has continued despite Kyle Walker-Peters being available to Nuno, suggesting the club do not want to be left short if a deal is agreed.

Wan-Bissaka remains under a long-term contract after joining from Manchester United in August 2024. He was voted Hammer of the Year after his first season and has extensive Premier League experience, giving West Ham reason to resist allowing him to leave cheaply.

The latest indication, however, is that a departure is becoming increasingly likely.

With Everton and Aston Villa both in the picture, West Ham may soon have a major decision to make over another member of Nuno’s squad.
