West Ham United have signed Switzerland international Nadine Riesen on a three-year contract.
The Hammers confirmed the deal on Monday, 22 June, after the defender left Eintracht Frankfurt.
Riesen becomes Rita Guarino’s fourth signing of the summer. West Ham have moved early to strengthen their women’s squad before the 2026/27 Barclays Women’s Super League season.
The 26-year-old arrives after three years in the Frauen-Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Yahoo Sports reports that Riesen made 69 appearances for the German club between 2023 and 2026.
Riesen Gives West Ham Another Senior Defensive Option
The timing matters for Guarino’s squad planning.
West Ham have already started reshaping their women’s group this summer. Riesen now adds a senior defender with experience in a strong European league and with Switzerland.
