West Ham United are preparing for life in the Championship for the first time in 14 years. Whilst last time things were a little easier for the Hammers, this time they have to sell a number of players to raise £150 million this summer.
Nuno Espirito Santo is committed to taking West Ham back up to the Premier League, but his task is all that harder given the team will lose some of it’s stars. Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville will both leave, whilst the futures of Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek remain up in the air.
Whilst planning for the future is difficult fort the Irons right now, it has not stopped the club from looking at potential targets, that they believe can take them back to where they belong.
West Ham interested in Cardiff City’s Dylan Lawlor
According to The Athletic, West Ham are interested in Cardiff City defender, Dylan Lawlor.
The 20-year-old central defender had a breakout season with the Welsh side last season. Lawlor featured 37 times as the Bluebirds finished second in League One, confirming their return to the Championship at the first time of asking.

The performances also earned the youngster a senior call up to the Wales squad over the last year. Since his first cap, Lawlor has gone on to make six appearances for his country since.
Lawlor’s breakout season is attracting interest from a number of top Championship clubs, with Wrexham also in the mix alongside West Ham.
