- West Ham play Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Monday night
- Nuno Espirito Santo has been speaking to the press pre-match
- There are no new injuries for the Hammers
West Ham United head to Selhurst Park on Monday night looking to back up last Friday’s big win over Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Hammers currently sit two points above the relegation zone going into this weekend’s fixtures and know a win over Crystal Palace will guarantee they stay out of the bottom three into next week.
Oliver Glasner’s Eagles are all but safe in the Premier League with their focus on the UEFA Europa Conference League, where the team progressed on Thursday night. With some tired legs, and eyes elsewhere, West Ham will hope to take advantage and leave South London with all three points.
Nuno’s thoughts
Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed all players are available: “All the boys are OK, they take care of themselves after the matches, recovery-wise and that’s a credit to them”
On the good mood in the camp: “We’re working hard. The atmosphere is good, focused and getting ready for Monday. I don’t think there is a risk [of complacency]. It’s positive after a good performance and helps in terms of preparation. We will make sure we are focused on what we have to do.”
On moving out of the bottom three: “It’s much better when you see but nothing has changed really. We still have six games to go – a lot of work to do.”
The big challenge is keeping the form going: “Sustaining their levels of performance which is very hard, but we must do it”.
Nuno dismissed exit links for Konstantinos Mavropanos, confirming he is committed: “Dinos is totally focused and committed”
On Monday night’s opposition, Crystal Palace: “They are a very good team. The shape and idea is really established and that brought a lot of success last season. They continue to perform well and have individual players with a lot of talent.”
