- West Ham interested in Coventry City striker, Haji Wright
- Wright has scored 17 goals for the Sky Blues this season
- The 28-year-old is expected to go to the World Cup with USA this summer
West Ham United are doing everything they can to stay in the Premier League this season. A 4-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers last Friday lifted the Hammers out of the Premier League’s bottom three, but there is still a long way to go for Nuno Espirito Santo’s team.
Starting 2026, West Ham look long gone and yet, with a mixture of strong recruitment and coaching additions, the Irons have turned things around leaving relegation in their own hands. The quest for more top flight points continues on Monday night, as the Hammers head across London to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace.
Whilst on the pitch, Nuno’s team are on an uphill trajectory, off the pitch summer plans are being made. West Ham will more than likely have to sell this summer, regardless of league status, but are still looking at additions throughout the transfer sphere as they look to improve.
Axel Disasi’s signing is nothing short of a massive success, whilst Valentin Castellanos is getting better every game. The Hammers are still in the market for another forward, with one of the Championship’s top scorers being at the front of the queue.
West Ham monitoring Coventry City’s Haji Wright
According the Football Insider, West Ham are monitoring the situation of Coventry City forward, Haji Wright.
The USA international has scored 17 goals for the Sky Blues this season, making him the second-highest goal scorer in the division. His goals have helped Frank Lampard’s team to the top of the table, with promotion to the Premier League likely to be confirmed when they play Blackburn Rovers on Friday night.

28-year-old Wright is said to be happy at Coventry but could be persuaded to move this summer to an already established Premier League side. As a USA international, the forward is expected to be part of Mauricio Pochettino’s team and a good tournament could see his stock rise.
West Ham are expected to push for several players in the English leagues with a forward being one of the several priorities. It now appears that Wright is near the top of the candidacy list.
