West Ham United have been nonstop attempting to change their league predicament in 2026. The Hammers began the year seven points from safety but an upturn in performances has seen the team level on points with Nottingham Forest in 17th.
Whilst Nuno Espirito Santo’s new look West Ham is built on a stout defence, a key performer for the Irons has been winger, Crysencio Summerville. The Dutchman has had his best scoring return in the Premier League this season, netting seven goals in his last ten games in all competitions.
It now appears that the 24-year-old is gaining transfer interest, particularly from Tottenham Hotspur according to TeamTalk. Spurs themselves are also in the relegation fight but with one of the two team’s having the possibility to go down, the rival team are letting their interest be known.
According to sources, the North London side looked into a move for the Summerville in the window but West Ham were unwilling to budge on their high price tag given the position of both teams.
Other team’s interested in the 24-year-old include Marseille, Napoli, Atalanta and Villarreal, with all four monitoring the attacker’s form and the Hammers league position.
Crysencio Summerville’s West Ham form
Going forward, Summerville has been West Ham’s best attacking player this season. After taking his time to adapt to life at the London Stadium last year, under Nuno, the 24-year-old is showing the same confidence he showed at former side Leeds United.
Crysencio Summerville’s 2025/26 West Ham United Statistics
| Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| 26 | 7 | 2 |
With nine goal involvements this campaign, the majority in the second-half of the season, the Dutchman is on fire for the Hammers. Summerville scored the all-important goal in the 1-0 win over Fulham and the majority of the team’s attacking moves go through him.
Summerville is definitely in the shop window right now. With the Irons difficult financial position, the 24-year-old could be on the move regardless of whether West Ham stay up or not, but being in the Premier League will definitely help the team hold out for their price on the Dutchman.
What’s next for West Ham?
West Ham head into the pivotal part of the season on the back of a huge win over Fulham. Tonight, Nuno’s team face Brentford in the FA Cup, with more of an emphasis on keeping the momentum going rather than the result itself.
After the FA Cup break, the Hammers return to the Premier League, hosting title chasing Manchester City.
The Irons then head to Birmingham to face Aston Villa, before welcoming a midlands side, Wolverhampton Wanderers, to the London Stadium in the following week.
