West Ham are reportedly considering the ‘possibility of a loan move’ for Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke.
The Hammers are expected to make late attempts to sign a frontman as the January transfer deadline fast approaches.
Despite links elsewhere to the likes of Darwin Nunez, Ben Brereton Diaz, Hugo Ekitike and Toulouse FC star Rhys Healey, David Moyes may be forced to look closer to home for a resolution.
According to a report from the Guardian, as cited by Talkin West Ham #GSBOUT on Twitter, West Ham are considering bringing a 31-year-old Benteke to the London Stadium.

The report claims that the Irons could make a late swoop for the 43-cap Belgium international has other targets fall by the wayside.
This season Benteke – who was described as ‘fantastic’ by Roy Hodgson – has scored four times and provided one assist in 21 Premier League appearances.

Signing a frontman to support Michail Antonio before tonight’s deadline is imperative if Moyes’ side are going to continue fighting on all fronts this term.
Already stretched to the maximum in terms of numbers, the Irons face further stress with the return of Europa League action in the coming weeks.
Whilst boasting vast top-flight experience, Benteke is far from the ideal solution to the issue at the London Stadium.
However, in lieu of worthwhile alternatives due to finances, international duty and time, the powerful Belgian could be the last remaining viable candidate.
