West Ham have been heavily linked with a move for Flamengo striker Gabriel Barbosa in recent days.
The Hammers reportedly want to bring the 25-year-old to the London Stadium on an initial 18-month loan deal with a view to making the move permanent.
Whilst no deal for the Brazilian has yet been struck, David Moyes is clearly keen to address the lack of natural support for Michail Antonio within the squad.
Speaking to Football Insider, former Premier League striker Kevin Campbell has tipped the former Inter Milan ace to add a threat to the West Ham ranks.
We have seen Richarlison come over to the Premier League from Brazil and do very well. Plenty of players have come over as unknowns and done very well. It is down to the team and the individual. He will be in competition with [Michail] Antonio and the great thing about Antonio is, he can play pretty much anywhere. He is so versatile. I think Barbosa could come in and be a real asset. If he can settle quickly then West Ham have a real player on their hands. His stats are incredible but it will be more difficult in England.
During the 2020/21 campaign, Barbosa scored 29 times and registered another nine assists in 43 appearances across all competitions.

Signing the Brazilian frontman would certainly add much-needed competition for places at the London Stadium.
Albeit perhaps not perceived as the very elite level, Barbosa’s 84 goals in 124 outings for Flamengo is an outstanding record.
Valued at £23.4million and under contract in South America until 2024 (Transfermarkt), West Ham may have to significantly up their offer in order to make this deal a reality.
