West Ham were eliminated from the Carabao Cup at the quarter-final stage by London rivals Tottenham following a 2-1 defeat.
The Hammers had already gone beyond Manchester City and Manchester United before Spurs prevailed.
A superb Jarrod Bowen goal separated strikes from Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura in the first-half.
However, it was central defender Issa Diop who bore the brunt of the frustration on social media as Irons’ fans had their say on the defeat.
Issa Diop and Masuaku simply aren’t good enough, too inconsistent. Ogbonna and Cresswell are integral to our starting 11.

I'm sorry but Diop is an absolute liability today, that's about 4 huge mistakes now. Really hoping Zouma is back soon

Diop was rated 6.90 by Sofascore in a performance containing three clearances and two blocked shots as well as losing possession on 13 occasions.
So far this season the 24-year-old Frenchman has made 11 appearances across all competitions for the Hammers.

This was surely another sign that David Moyes must go into the January transfer market for a centre-back.
Albeit Diop is capable of a standout display, there is no doubting reinforcements are needed to supplement the former Toulouse man and Craig Dawson.
Valued at £13.5million and under contract until 2023 (Transfermarkt), displays such as this won’t force those in change to offer a new deal anytime soon.
