Irons’ boss David Moyes is now believed to be ready to sanction a £17million offer to prise Barak out of Italy.
That’s according to a report from Italian outlet Calcio Hellas claiming the East Londoners are prepared to ‘knock on the door’ of the Serie A side.
Capped on 28 occasions by the Czech Republic, Barak has been in superb form this season – earning a 7.14 average Sofascore rating from 15 league outings.
An attack-minded midfielder, the former Udinese ace has scored five times and added three assists in 16 appearances across all competitions this term.

Valued at £12.6million (Transfermarkt) and having only recently signed for Verona, the mooted £17million fee would be a bargain deal for the Hammers.
Another physical specimen, it’s perhaps of little surprise Moyes would be an admirer of the Czech star.
Still competing on all four fronts this season, Barak would add much-needed squad depth to a midfield department containing Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek and Mark Noble.
