Former West Ham midfielder Trevor Sinclair has labelled the current Hammers squad as ‘the best’ in the Premier League era.
This comes after David Moyes’ side finished sixth last season and are currently lying in fourth having cemented their position with victory over Chelsea last weekend.
The Irons are seemingly defying the odds once more and confidence is brimming at the London Stadium.
Taking to Twitter, Sinclair responded to journalist Darren Lewis questioning where the current crop would rank in the top-flight era.

Moyes’ men have also secured qualification from Europa League Group H and await Tottenham in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

If it wasn’t already time for the conversation, this season’s exploits mean it almost definitely is now.
Despite the huge names Sinclair himself featured alongside such as Shaka Hislop, Joe Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Paolo di Danio and Frank Lampard, this may well be the best complete squad.
Whilst some of the names in the current crop – Jarrod Bowen and Declan Rice in particular – could go on and emulate the careers of the aforementioned stars, at present, it would appear the majority can achieve all they desire in East London.
