West Ham return to domestic action this afternoon (Saturday, November 20) with a tricky looking trip to the Midlands to face Wolves in the Premier League.
The Hammers went into the international break on cloud nine having ended Liverpool’s unbeaten start to the new season.
Now it’s up to David Moyes’ side to maintain that momentum and kick on ahead of the busiest period of the season.
Writing in his weekly BBC Sport prediction column, former Republic of Ireland defender Mark Lawrenson backed the Irons to pick up where they left off.
Wolves saw their good run end with a home defeat by Crystal Palace and I think this will end up with a similar outcome. West Ham are sweeping all before them at the moment and they got an excellent win over Liverpool last time out. Tactically, the Hammers were almost perfect in that game too.
Lawrenson tipped Moyes’ men to overcome Wolves 2-1 at Molineux whilst guest prediction Zuzu suggested a more comfortable 3-0 success.
Ahead of the match, the Scottish manager confirmed there is more or less a clean bill of health within the West Ham squad.
Last term it was double delight for the East Londoners as a 3-2 win in the Midlands backed up by a resounding 4-0 victory at the London Stadium.

It’s important that the Hammers ensure this doesn’t have an after the Lord Mayor’s show feel to it.
Following such a superb victory over Premier League title challengers Liverpool, it would be a waste to back that performance up with an abject one today.
Whilst the formbook would suggest there is no sign of that, Moyes will no doubt be guarded against such events, ensuring each and every player is fully motivated.
