West Ham are believed to ‘hold an interest’ in Marseille defensive midfielder Boubacar Kamara.
Irons’ boss David Moyes is expected to reinforce the squad following the injury to Angelo Ogbonna before the international break.
Already linked with James Tarkowski, Ben Mee and Duje Caleta-Car since the blow, ExWHUemployee has added another possible name to the list of January targets.
Speaking on The West Ham Way Podcast, as cited by West Ham News & Views on Twitter, the popular club insider claims Kamara is on the radar at the London Stadium.
Capped nine times by France at Under 21 level, the 21-year-old has established himself as a mainstay at the Ligue 1 club.
Hailed as a ‘phenomenon’ by Rolando, this season Kamara has earned an impressive 6.95 average Sofascore rating from 11 league appearances.

This is a rather curious link.
Despite possessing plenty of quality and a bright future, the Frenchman’s strengths lie in operating as a defensive midfielder – a position the Hammers are well stocked in with Alex Kral, Mark Noble, Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice.
Albeit capable of playing at centre-back, Kamara doesn’t have the physical presence Moyes goes for in a defender.
Valued at £25.2million and out of contract next summer (Transfermarkt), there would certainly appear that there is a deal to be done – although where the ace would fit is up for debate.
