West Ham are reportedly ‘keen on’ signing Hellas Verona duo Giovanni Simeone and Antonin Barak.
The Hammers have been named alongside Premier League rivals Newcastle United as the clubs interested in the pair.
Both have been linked with a move to the Irons separately in the past but now it would appear David Moyes is lining up a double swoop in Italy.
That’s according to a report from TuttoHellasVerona, as cited by Newcastle centric Twitter account The 1892.
The report claims that both English clubs have ‘set their sights’ on Barak and Simeone – capped 27 times and five times by their nations respectively.
So far this season the Argentine striker has scored nine times and provided three assists in 11 Serie A outings.

Mooted to be worth around £31million combined, West Ham would be handing their squad a major boost with this double capture.
However, Simeone is currently only on loan at Verona from Cagliari and Barak was signed last summer from Udinese following a successful loan spell.
These situations would surely complicate any move for the forward and attacking midfielder and perhaps make it more plausible for Moyes to begin to look elsewhere.
