Former Premier League defender Alan Hutton has been praising the ‘outstanding’ development of West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen.
The 24-year-old has been a revelation since arriving at the London Stadium from Hull City for £20million (BBC).
Since arriving Bowen has scored 12 and assisted 15 goals as well as attracting reported interest from Liverpool in recent months.
Speaking to Football Insider, Hutton was full of admiration for Bowen and tipped the Englishman to rise yet further.
He’s young, he’s talented – I don’t see why he couldn’t make that move to Liverpool that would be amazing. I played against him in the Championship when he was at Hull, wow, he was a real standout performer for them. He’s taken the step up to the Premier League in his stride with some outstanding performances, you can see he’s grown in stature and he looks really confident at the moment. He has progressed really well and we’ll have to see if he can reach the next level – where there’s pressure to produce week in, week out. I think he’s got the potential to do just that.
So far this season Bowen has scored twice and provided four assists in 11 Premier League outings.
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
Fresh off the back of playing a leading role in a West Ham victory over Liverpool, there is nothing stopping the versatile ace from achieving all the necessary progression in east London.
Full of endeavour and ever-improving quality, David Moyes has made Bowen into a quality top-flight operator and it’s easy to see why others would be interested.
Currently holding a rising market value of £27million and under contract until 2025 (Transfermarkt), the Irons hold all the power when it comes to Bowen’s future.
