West Ham are reportedly considering a move for Hellas Verona striker Giovanni Simeone in January.
The Hammers were linked with the 26-year-old in the summer before the Argentina international joined Verona on a season long-loan from Cagliari.
Born in Madrid and the son of Atletico manager Diego, Simeone has forged a 79-goal professional career across spells with six clubs in Argentina and Italy.
According to a report from The Express, as cited on Twitter, David Moyes is still weighing up a move for the frontman.
The report claims that the five-cap ace ‘remains of interest’ at the London Stadium despite the complex nature of the deal due to being on a loan-to-buy move currently.
This season Simeone has scored nine times and provided three assists in 11 Serie A appearances.

Signing a striker has to be a priority as soon as January to ensure the Irons can continue on this wonderful path.
Relying too heavily on Michail Antonio throughout the campaign will eventually catch up with Moyes’ side and likely the Jamaican’s hamstrings further down the line.
Albeit the club will likely have to pay over the odds for the £9.9million valued centre-forward, if he truly is the chosen one then it’s a worthwhile expenditure.
