Former Premier League defender Danny Mills has suggested that West Ham would find it very difficult to reject bids of £100million for Declan Rice.
This comes as Irons’ boss David Moyes recently claimed that the chance to sign the 22-year-old for a ‘bargain’ £100million has now been and gone.
Rice put in another stellar display on Sunday as the Hammers swept aside Aston Villa to further establish themselves in the top four.
However, speaking to Football Insider, Mills claimed that the club would struggle to turn its nose up should big-money offers come to fruition.
It would be very, very difficult to turn it down if a £100million bid did come in. It’s easy to say ‘I’d never do this, I’d never do that’. Very, very easy. All of a sudden, it’s on the table and you go ‘Ooh erm, tell you what, it’s not bad, is it?’. Talking about it is one thing and it’s easy to say no when it’s hypothetical. But when it’s put in front of you and its reality, it’s different. £100million, Declan Rice? We can buy someone else for £40million or we can dip into the Czech Republic again and pick up another star for £15million. You know what? I think we’ll do that’.
The 44-year-old went on to claim that the 27-cap ace ‘will want to leave’ at some point.
So far this season Rice has earned a 7.45 Sofascore rating from 10 Premier League outings.

At present, there would appear to be no reason for Rice to leave the London Stadium – even if offers to smash the previous record sale by near £75million were forthcoming.
Perhaps the most important player in a side going places in the league, domestic cups and in Europe.
Were the Hammers to achieve the unthinkable and qualify for the UEFA Champions League, no money in the world would prize the £63million valued star out of east London.
