Exclusive: “Moyes should get a statue” hails Rob Lee

West Ham United manager David Moyes should get “a statue” according to former Premier League and Hammers midfielder Rob Lee.

The Hammers have had a terrific start to the season so far, picking up just where they left off after the end of the last campaign.

West Ham sit at the top of the Premier League table after their opening two games of the season, with Moyes’ side picking up six points and scoring eight goals already.

The East London club beat Newcastle United 4-2 on the opening day a fortnight ago and thumped Leicester City 4-1 on Monday night.

The likes of Said Benrahma, Pablo Fornals and Michail Antonio, who became the club’s all-time top Premier League goalscorer against Leicester, have all kicked off the campaign in excellent fashion.

Last season was a huge feat for David Moyes and his team, after they qualified for the Europa League group stages for the first time.

West Ham fans are beginning to rejoice everywhere, in hope that their good form in the Premier League continues.

One person who feels a similar way is former Hammers midfielder Rob Lee. Speaking exclusively to Read West Ham, he said:

“You know in this day and age they should be building statues of David Moyes somewhere I think, not questioning who he is buying if that’s the case.”

While an actual statue of David Moyes may be a bit far-fetched, if these brilliant performances and successes continue fans will no doubt be calling for a sculpture of the Scotsman further down the line.
