West Ham may have been handed a double boost in their pursuit of Manchester United attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard.
According to a report from the Daily Express, the Old Trafford club have now dropped their asking price for Lingard from £30million to £20million.
Meanwhile, the Premier League’s official website, as cited by Natter Football on Twitter, seemed to forecast another loan move to the London Stadium for the England man.

This comes on the same day Hammers’ first-team coach Stuart Pearce told talkSPORT about the ‘open secret’ that was a desire to sign the 28-year-old.
Lingard was a revelation in east London last season having joined on a temporary sixth-month loan deal in February.
The 29 times capped international scored nine and registered six assists in 16 league outings for the Irons – earning an England recall in the process.

Coincidence? Perhaps.
It has to be said it seems highly unlikely Manchester United would sanction another loan move for Lingard given the ace’s age.
That makes the reported drop in asking price far more intriguing possibility from a West Ham perspective, with £20million now enough to make the deal a reality.
Valued at £19.8million and in the final 12 months of a deal in Manchester (Transfermarkt), the new fee would represent far better value for money.
