West Ham have been named among a number of clubs interested in signing Manchester United forward Anthony Martial this summer.
The Frenchman could be deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford following the arrival of Jadon Sancho and returning Irons’ loanee Jesse Lingard.
David Moyes is on the hunt for attacking options and the Hammers are believed to be assessing a move for the 25-year-old alongside interest from Tottenham, Everton and Aston Villa.
That’s according to a report from French publication MercatoFoot over the weekend, as cited by Info Max on Twitter.

The report claims that Martial could be made available this summer and that Spurs are ready to pay £51.4million in order to land the 27-cap star.
Since arriving from Monaco for £36million in 2015 (BBC), the Frenchman has struggled to find consistent form in Manchester.
Last season the versatile ace managed seven goals and nine assists from 36 appearances across all competitions.
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
Signing a player of Martial’s quality from a domestic rival would be some statement of intent from the Hammers.
However, given the star’s £40.5million market value and contract until 2024 (Transfermarkt), it seems unlikely West Ham would be willing to shell out the figures required.
That said, links to this calibre of player are a sure sign of the club’s improved status and could mean big signings are indeed around the corner.
