West Ham have reportedly ‘shown an interest’ in Southampton and England striker Danny Ings.
This comes after the 28-year-old recently rejected the offer of a new deal on the south coast with a view to potentially seeking a new challenge.
The Hammers have been named as a potential suitor for the ex-Liverpool and Burnley star, along with Aston Villa and Tottenham also holding an admiration.
According to a report from The Athletic, as cited by SaintsExtra on Twitter, the Irons have Ings firmly on their radar.

The report claims a new deal has been on the table for 14 months as the three-times capped England man enters the final year of his current contract.
Last season, Ings netted 12 Premier League goals and another four assists in just 29 outings, earning a 6.97 average Sofascore rating in the process.
Described as ‘brilliant’ by Saints teammate Shane Long, the Winchester-born ace has 55 top-flight career goals in 140 appearances.

Without a new deal signed, this summer presents Southampton with the final opportunity to obtain a reasonable fee for their asset.
Valued at £19.8million (Transfermarkt), any fee in that region would represent smart business for all parties.
Given the progression made under David Moyes last term, and with a Europa League campaign on the horizon, Ings may be tempted to head to east London.
