Virals: Declan Rice asks ‘Why always me’ after brutal goal celebration

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has taken to social media to question his own involvement in another goal celebration.

After collapsing with cramp en route to celebrating Harry Kane’s goal against Germany in midweek, the 22-year-old was this time emersed in the action.

Joining Manchester United defender Harry Maguire to mark the second goal on the night as the Three Lions cruised past Ukraine, Rice was accidentally placed in a chokehold by captain Harry Kane.

As the footage appeared on Twitter, the Iron asked ‘Why always me’.

Despite visibly struggling, the central midfielder saw the funny side and still managed to put in a stirring display for Gareth Southgate’s men.

Prior to being replaced on 57 minutes in order to guard against suspension, Rice had one shot on target, 50 touches and earned a rating of 7.0 (Sofascore).

England will now face Denmark in the semi-finals on Wednesday at Wembley – hoping to book a place in the final to face either Spain or Italy.

Despite being somewhat on the wrong end of the festivities, Rice will no doubt take a bout of cramp and a minor choke if it means England continue to score goals.

Perhaps the Hammer should net the next one himself and lead the celebrations.
