Virals: West Ham named among clubs interested in Martin Satriano

West Ham are reportedly interested in signing exciting Inter Milan forward Martin Satriano this summer.

The Hammers have been credited with an interest in the 20-year-old Uruguayan alongside fellow Premier League clubs Tottenham, Arsenal and Everton.

Despite training regularly with the top-flight Scuddeto champions last term, Satriano only made the bench on three occasions in Serie A – finishing the campaign without a senior appearance.

According to a report from MailOnline, as cited by Football Extra on Twitter, the Engish quartet are ‘tracking’ the South American prospect.

The report also claims powerhouses Manchester City and Chelsea have also previously taken an interest in the starlet, who was voted the best forward for the 2020/21 season in Primavera 1.

Satriano netted 14 goals and added another six assists in 30 outings last term – leading to being billed as Uruguay’s next star striker.

Valued at just £720,000 and under contract at the San Siro until 2024 (Transfermarkt), it’s difficult to assess what Inter could demand for such a wonderkid.

Given the current financial situation at the Italian club and the pecking order containing Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, the Irons could capture a real gem.

Albeit perhaps not the established or indeed calibre of frontman many, including David Moyes, is demanding, landing a potential star of the future is always an exciting prospect.

matchday.
