West Ham United Women have completed the signing of France international Kelly Gago from Everton on a three-year contract.
The 27-year-old becomes Rita Guarino’s ninth addition of a busy summer window. She will wear the No11 shirt in east London.
Gago scored ten goals in 30 appearances across all competitions during her time with Everton. Her pace, strength and direct running give West Ham another proven Women’s Super League attacker.
West Ham confirmed the transfer through their official Kelly Gago announcement. The forward said the club’s family atmosphere played a major role in her decision.
“I’m very happy to be joining West Ham United,” Gago said. “I’m going to give everything in order to help the team reach our ambitions.”
Guarino adds more power to West Ham attack
Gago began her senior career in France and enjoyed productive spells with Saint-Étienne and Parma. She scored 44 goals in 91 appearances for Saint-Étienne before registering 15 in 30 games for Parma.
The forward joined Everton from Nantes in January 2025 and adapted quickly to English football. She recorded five goals and two assists during her first half-season in the WSL.
Gago has also won 14 caps for France and scored three international goals. She represented her country at Euro 2025 and adds further experience to Guarino’s rebuilt squad.
Her arrival follows the permanent return of Estelle Cascarino from Juventus. As Read West Ham reported after that deal, Guarino has added players with WSL and international experience across several positions.
Ebony Salmon has also joined the attacking group this summer. Gago’s power and movement should give West Ham greater variety as they look to improve their output next season.
