West Ham are believed to be unwilling to allow midfielder Manuel Lanzini to leave the club on loan this summer.
Despite the Argentine reportedly asking for the opportunity to leave the London Stadium, the Hammers are said to be keen on keeping Lanzini due to their participation in the Europa League next term.
That’s according to El Intransigente, as cited by West Ham News & Views on Twitter.

Lanzini has been linked in recent weeks with a return to his homeland and former club, River Plate.
That’s despite January interest in the 28-year-old from European giants Paris Saint-Germian.
The report does suggest the Irons would be open to a permanent sale, perhaps due to being able to fund a replacement with the fee received for the five-cap ace.
In 2020/21, Lanzini appeared 24 times in all competitions for West Ham – netting just one goal.

Allowing the £9million valued ace would make little sense from a Hammers point of view – simply acing to weaken the options afforded to David Moyes without adding funds to replenish.
The same could be said for the likes of Felipe Anderson this summer, another who the club will surely look to sell permanently this time around.
If Lanzini wants to leave as reported, it would be difficult to blame him given his age and lack of first-team action recently, therefore both club and player should actively look to find the best deal for all.
