West Ham have been linked with Slavia Prague striker Abdallah Sima for some time now and a recent report from Claret & Hugh claimed the Czech Republic side had set a £35m price tag for their star.
However, in an unlikely turn of events, the club’s president Jaroslav Tvrdik responded directly on Twitter to refute the claims and the enthused Hammers faithful responded in numbers.
Sima, who has been likened to Arsenal and Premier League great Thierry Henry, has 11 goals in 14 Fortuna Liga appearances this term, earning of admirers.
Just 19, the Senegalese striker clearly has a bright future in the game and he scored in the Europa League clash which saw Slavia eliminate Premier League side Leicester City last week.
