Plenty of West Ham fans have been revelling in a report from Spain suggesting that Pablo Fornals has been attempting to lure Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri to east London.
Estadio Deportivo claimed that a former teammate of the Moroccan who currently ‘resides’ with the Hammers had been in contact with the 23-year-old to persuade him to join the club amid interest from the Irons.
Fornals was a teammate of En-Nesyri during their time at Malaga coming through the youth ranks, and it hasn’t taken long for some astute Hammers fans to connect those particular dots.
After combative midfielder Tomas Soucek played a helping hand in bringing Vladimir Coufal to the London Stadium, these Irons fans have been drawing a comparison to the player scouting network on social media, with one anticipating an incoming “masterclass” from Fornals…
